Eine Studie hat ergeben, dass Schweizer im internationalen Vergleich nur mittelmässig Englisch sprechen. Der EF English Proficieny index 2015 setzte die Schweiz auf den 19. Platz – hinter Deutschland und Österreich.
Es liegt vermutlich an diesen elf Sätzen:
1. Hello together!!!
Richtig: Hello everybody/everyone!!!
2. We will see us tomorrow.
Richtig: We are going to see each other tomorrow.
3. Whats about going to the cinema at the weekend?
Richtig: How about going to the cinema at the weekend?
4. I know him. He’s a good friend of me.
Richtig: I know him. He’s a good friend of mine.
5. The station is near from my house.
Richtig: The station is near by my house.
6. I know some peoples they can’t speak German very well.
Richtig: I know some people who can’t speak German very well.
7. Zurich ist not so dangerous like New York.
Richtig: Zurich ist not as dangerous as New York.
8. He means it’s a good idea.
Richtig: He thinks it’s a good idea.
9. We became a letter from him this morning.
Richtig: We got/received a letter from this morning.
10. She gave me a phone last night.
Richtig: She gave me a call last night.
11. All what he said was wrong.
Richtig: Everything he said was wrong.
